DAY OF DAYS 2013 INTERVIEW with GALEN GERING, LAUREN KOSLOW and CHRISHELL STAUSE

THE DAY OF DAYS 2013 INTERVIEWS WITH ALL OF THE CAST MEMBERS CAN BE HEARD HERE:  http://www.blogtalkradio.com/outtakes/2013/11/12/outtakes-at-day-of-days-2013

Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez), Lauren Koslow (Kate Roberts) and Chrishell Stause (Jordan Ridgeway); DAYS OF OUR LIVES) -- November 9th, 2013

OUTTAKES:  Galen, what does Rafe see in Kate; and what does Rafe see in Jordan?  Because we seem to be getting this triangle going on with these two women.

GG:  These two [Rafe and Kate] obviously weren’t meant to be together but they really enjoy hanging out with one another.  And obviously she’s been in his corner since he’s been hurt and looked out for him.

LK:  Remember that!

GG:  Yes, that’s right, I’ll remember that.  Jordan has also been there for him and is rehabilitating him; and he really enjoys spending time with her.  So he’s a good place if you will.

OUTTAKES:  Lauren, what is it you like the most about playing the character of Kate?

LK:  I love everything about playing the character of Kate.  She’s such an impulsive person.  She has such a complex history.  She’s a character that can go anywhere and do just about anything.  It’s always a challenge and it’s always exciting to play.  I love playing the character.

OUTTAKES:  Chrishell, I enjoyed your work very much on ALL MY CHILDREN [as Amanda].  Now you’re on DAYS as this new character.  What has been the difference with the shooting schedule and the atmosphere between ALL MY CHILDREN and DAYS OF OUR LIVES?

CS:  The shooting schedule is quite different actually.  At ALL MY CHILDREN, we only had two weeks off at Christmas; and that was it.  And at DAYS, they’re able to give us different hiatus weeks.  That’s actually very lovely to be able to take a break.  But that also means that they shoot a lot faster.  So it’s good and bad.

OUTTAKES:  I know you really can’t say much about your character because she’s still something of a mystery woman.  There’s a lot going on with her and we don’t really know what it is yet.  What have you enjoyed so far about playing the character of Jordan?

CS:  I think probably the thing I enjoy the most is just the fact that she is so opposite Amanda.  Yes, there’s a lot of secrets coming up that I can’t talk about that have also been really fun to work with.

DAY OF DAYS 2013 INTERVIEW with BRYAN DATTILO

Bryan Dattilo (Lucas Roberts, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) -- November 9th, 2013

OUTTAKES:  How is it being back on DAYS with Lucas coming between Sami and EJ and taking Ali back?

BD:  It's been fun!  It's been really fun.  The storyline is going in different ways these days which is good for me.  It's going back my way which I'm really happy about. I don't know about getting between Sami and EJ.  That's pretty impossible.  That's a tight sandwich to stick a little piece of meat like me in.  It's fun working with James.  It's fun working with Ali.  I missed them both.  I hope that there are good things to come.

OUTTAKES:  Since you're saying there's no breaking up Sami and EJ, if Lucas were to get involved with another character on DAYS...do you have an idea of who he should get mixed up with?

BD:  There might be some new blood for him.  Existing on the canvas now, there's not a lot of options for Lucas because he's related to everybody.  Not that that's ever stopped anybody in the past!  But Lucas is trying to go by the book.  There's not a lot of opportunities for a guy like Lucas in Salem, but you never know what the future will provide.

OUTTAKES:  If you could control where the storyline would go, what kind of storyline would you like to see happen for Lucas?

BD:  I thought Lucas was always at his best at a corporate setting where he was on the business end of things.  Kind of wheeling and dealing and being the big shot that he's always wanted to be.  Being there for his son would kind of be a cool angle.  Definitely to be more involved with Will's life would be great.  I think there's a lot of good things to come so I'm actually very happy where the storyline's headed right now.

DAY OF DAYS 2013 INTERVIEW with MEREDITH SCOTT LYNN

Meredith Scott Lynn (Anne Milbauer, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) -- November 9th, 2013

OUTTAKES:  What would you like to see happen with Anne at this point?  She's working so hard with Teresa to bring Jennifer down; and she's all up in the mix with getting Daniel in trouble...

MSL:  I know!  She is all up in his business.  I never want it to end with Teresa.  I want Anne and Teresa to be evil cohorts forever, but that's probably not likely.  I don't know.  I think what I hope would happen with Anne is that we get some insight as to why she's so horrible and hateful.  There's something really fun about playing someone who seems to have no soul, but you know we all have a soul.  We saw a touch of it when Teresa was in the hospital bed; and Anne saw she had overdosed. But only for like a second. I want there to be some sweeping dream sequences where Anne's having sex with half of Salem...but that's a tall order!

OUTTAKES:  If you could think of a guy in Salem who would be Anne's match, is there a character that comes to mind?

MSL:  Wow!  That's really interesting.  The ultimate fantasy would be Dr. Dan probably.  But from what I hear, the fans seem to think that Anne is in love with Jennifer; and I really like that idea.  That's a good storyline.  So maybe that's what happens eventually.

OUTTAKES:  That sounds really interesting!

MSL:  I know!  I don't even think Anne knows.  If that's what's going to happen, I don't think she knows, but maybe it will be revealed to her.  I don't know.  I have no idea.  And I'm so excited because I never read ahead.  I never know what's coming.  So your guess is as good as mine, but as far as what I hope happens...I hope I just stay on this evil trajectory for a long time.  I'd like to die; and maybe they zip up the body bag.  And then the very next episode, I unzip the body bag and emerge.  I've never died.  Something great like that.

OUTTAKES:  DAYS OF OUR LIVES is the perfect soap for something like that.

MSL:  Right? (laughs).  I just hope I stay.

OUTTAKES:  It's been more realistic for the last couple of years, but for a while no one stayed dead!

MSL:  No one stays dead.  Exactly.  Well, I just hope I stay.  Dead or alive.  This has been the best experience ever; and I don't want it to end.  And I'm hoping at some point, Anne has a weird tryst with Justin and his wife.  Both of them...like a threesome!

OUTTAKES:  There you go!  (laughs)  You know, Anne has some of the best zingers.  Is that all the writers?

MSL:  It's all the writing.  Those writers get Anne's voice in a big way.  I have the most fun.  They really really know how to write for Anne.  They just hear the voice. I have these long crazy chunky monologues.  I read them at home; and I can't believe I'm this lucky. This blessed to get to do this on television.  I would do it for free.  Don't tell anyone.

DAY OF DAYS 2013 INTERVIEW with ARIANNE ZUCKER and GREG VAUGHAN

THE DAY OF DAYS 2013 INTERVIEWS WITH ALL OF THE CAST MEMBERS CAN BE HEARD HERE:  http://www.blogtalkradio.com/outtakes/2013/11/12/outtakes-at-day-of-days-2013

Greg Vaughan and Arianne Zucker (Eric Brady and Nicole Walker, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) -- November 9th, 2013

OUTTAKES:  So it's an explosive storyline that just aired on DAYS with Eric with the film being outed at the wedding.  And we see Nicole in a preview of her confronting Kristen.  Greg, what would you like to see happen with Eric at this point?

GV:  I think now it's just seeing the truth coming out and trying to make things right.  Correction and trying to make amends with Nicole because Eric was pointing the finger with a lot of mixed emotions.

AZ:  You owe me!

GV:  I owe you!  And she's going to make me work for it.  That's what I know is going to happen.  There's a lot to come.  I think it is going to be just to get my bearings straight and moving forward.

OUTTAKES:  Ari, we've seen Nicole suffering with this attraction she has for Eric, the priest, the forbidden guy.  What is it that the character of Nicole sees in Eric?

AZ:  A gazillion things.  He's the first true love she ever had; and she ruined it.  So I'm sure those memories and feelings of any of us who have fallen in love for the first time -- they are feelings that never quite go away for that person.  Especially with him [Eric] coming back to make amends and to have found forgiveness for her.  Because she still has those strong feelings for him, she's almost turned into a little girl around him.  She just wants to be perfect.  And even though she can't be with him because he's a priest, that makes him even more desirable.  It makes her want to run away and run to him all at the same time.  She's also trying to respect who he is because he's making her a better person.  Just being around him and his energy gives her that desire to be better.  She still doesn't always make the best choices but he helps her think about something before she actually acts upon it.  So there are so many qualities about him that actually makes her better.  It is no longer, as much as she wants it be, just about the physical part of being with someone.  It is the emotional part that keeps her so damn attracted to him.  How's that? [laughs]

OUTTAKES:  Recently the movie, SECOND CHANCES, came out with Alison Sweeney.  What was it like working with her in that movie compared to working with her playing your sister on DAYS?

GV:  The way it had come about in the beginning, I had just done a screentest for the role.  And then a week later, I was called and they offered me this role.  I was excited to do it.  I asked, Who's going to be my co-star?  And then they said Ali.  And I said, Is this a joke?!  Are you all pulling my leg?  No way!  And then come to find out it was; and I started the next day.  It's ironic.  But we didn't even talk about the work because we had filmed that the month before I started [on DAYS].  I was cast around early mid-June; and then we went into production for the film with Hallmark.  Then I didn't even start taping at DAYS until August so we had a great time.  It actually gave us the time to work together for the first time on a professional level.  We had only been friends for like 15 years!  And we had never worked together.  So through this small circle of friends we have, we all knew each other but we never had the opportunity to work together.  So we got the ball rolling.  It brought us closer together as people but also with preparing.  We talked about the work and where our characters were.  Where they'd gone.  Other than that, we didn't really get too heavy into the show because we didn't want to make the dynamic uncomfortable.  We were trying to create something that was going to be unique and fresh.  I think it was a good way for us to start our professional career before we started working together as brother and sister [on DAYS].

OUTTAKES:  Could you explain to us about Arrow-Heart…what that is and how you’re involved with it?

AZ:  The name of the organization is Arrow-Heart Adventure Camp.  It’s actually something that I’ve been working with my brother on for five years.  The name actually changed.  It was the LifeCHANGE Leadership Program,  but we changed the name.  After we changed our age range, basically we work with 13-to-17 year-old nonviolent teens who are stuck in the juvenile system who need a place to go.  They haven’t crossed the line quite yet, but we help them make better choices.  We catch them in one of the most difficult times of their lives and affect the direction that they’re going to go in their lives.  And they do a survey.  Would you rather go to a program or a camp?  Even if they are in trouble or not in trouble, they would want to go to a camp rather than a program.  Just the name change alone has given such a positive spin to this organization.  Kindly enough, the Ken Corday foundation donated for our first year to start our camp; and our camp is actually the outdoors.  We don’t have a facility that you actually go to.  We take the kids on different adventures once a month for ten months.  This year, we’re ending with a white water rafting trip.  It’s pretty exciting for the kids.  On our Facebook page and our website, you can see every event for each month; how the kids are progressing; and their desire to lead and compete with each other and for their camp.  They compete in a healthy way rather than a negative way.  We’ve got kids in our camp that you can’t believe.  You go, “Why is that cute little pixie girl here?”  Well, she got caught up in the wrong group of kids; or you never know.  So my brother, Todd, and Levi [sp?] are our main coaches.  They’re incredible.  And I couldn’t do this without them.  I’m not the coach.  I’m just the love behind it.  We have a wonderful team of volunteers.  A lot of fans have jumped on and are trying to help spread the word…to help others gain insight as to who we are.

DAY OF DAYS 2013 INTERVIEW with ERIC MARTSOLF

THE DAY OF DAYS 2013 INTERVIEWS WITH ALL OF THE CAST MEMBERS CAN BE HEARD HERE:  http://www.blogtalkradio.com/outtakes/2013/11/12/outtakes-at-day-of-days-2013

Eric Martsolf (Brady Black, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) -- November 9, 2013 DAY OF DAYS

OUTTAKES:  You once said that the DAYS cast members would call you "Brady the Black Widow" because all of your love interests would die off?  And here we are again.

EM:  It's amazing how history repeats itself.  They called me "Brady Black Widow" because I just could not hold on to a woman for any extended period of time.  And once again, Brady's kind of the fall guy in a relationship gone pretty damn sour, considering his fiance slept with his brother the priest.  Did you see yesterday's episode?

OUTTAKES:  Yes, absolutely.  It's explosive.  Especially that last scene with you and Eileen [as Kristen Dimera].  You looked like you were about ready to kill her.

EM:  At this point, he gave her so many chances.  So many opportunities.  I think the anger was completely justified.  She definitely has reason to be fearful but underneath the anger is a guy who is very much in love with this woman.  And he has been for a long long time and wanted this to work out so well.  It was destined not to be.  So Brady's going to have to find another lily pad to jump onto.

OUTTAKES:  Either that or he might totally hit the skids.  Go back to an addiction.  Get back to that dark side again.  After being humiliated and disappointed and betrayed once more.  It's always fascinating when Brady goes down that dark path.  Do you enjoy playing that?

EM:  I do.  I do very much.  And it's interesting that you say that because even being here today at the DAY of DAYS event, I've had a lot of fans approach me and say, Does this mean that Dark Brady is coming back?  The phrase, Dark Brady, is almost a character onto himself now...where they [the fans] actually anticipate his downfall.  It's interesting TV to watch someone try to get through a crisis and do it in such a horrible way.  It's just crazy to watch an addict get his act together because nine times out of ten, it just never goes well.  I can definitely preview that he's going to have some incredible hardships coming up in the next couple of weeks with the downfall of this wedding disaster.  He just doesn't trust anybody; and he's always got one thing to fall back on...and past history tells us what that is.  He'll definitely be going into that dark cave again.

OUTTAKES:  You're also going to be appearing in a web series called ACTING DEAD.  What's that about?

EM:  This is a webseries that some friends of mine are doing.  It's so interesting and so funny.  It's basically a take on all of the zombie shows that have become so popular.  It follows an actual zombie and his trek to become a star in Hollywood.  I had to get on board.  I'm a fan of comedy.  I just love original and new ideas like that and exploring those things so.  I have a hard time saying no to anything actually; I just say yes.  [laughs]  Yeah, sure, I'll be there; what time?  That's my mantra. A zombie?  Sure, who's brain do I eat?

OUTTAKES:  You do a ton of web series.  VENICE, MISS BEHAVE and now ACTING DEAD.  And of course, you've got this front burner storyline as Brady.  So you're a busy guy!

EM:  I am not bored.  That's for sure!  Not lazy right now.  But that's why I like it.  So as long as Brady Black is getting in trouble, I'm a happy guy.
